FYI, it is simultaneously true that: a) all indications are that the coronavirus spreads rapidly, inundates hospitals quickly & kills many more once it does; extreme measures are reasonable b) we have a real problem with security theater & we don't have the bandwidth for that

It's a general problem. But one example: there are plenty of reports that US cities under "lockdown" aren't enforcing the 6-foot gap rule between people shopping for food, etc. A rule without enforcement is a suggestion. Very few of us have masks, so this is a critical rule.
