The coronavirus response will cling to the FDA, CDC & POTUS, but the latter will be cleansed with Trump's exit. Of the three, the CDC will be in the worst shape; communication with the public is core to its mission & it has thoroughly compromised its perceived trustworthiness

You're probably right about perceptions, but I think the FDA represents the greater negative, impeding development of both testing and treatments.
Yes, it's just that the general public hating the FDA doesn't impede the FDA in the same way the general public hating the CDC will impede the CDC
