husband officially laid off yesterday, we're a paycheck-to-paycheck working family who hasn't been able to "stock up" at the store as our grovery budget is finite, world-disrupting virus or not

It sure is. Cities, counties & states must ensure rent relief + delayed evictions, no utility shut-offs. But for now, people need to be able to buy what they need for a few weeks and keep on keeping on.

I’m good now. But at my grocery store I’ve got pregnant women, elderly, and just regular unwell people who are worried they can’t take time off right now. And working in the epicenter of people - grocery store - is dangerous for them. Maybe hit up a Trader Joe’s forum.

Not me, but my brother works for at an
@ATT store, and despite receiving an official letter from corporate just yesterday to close stores today, his manager is making him work today anyway. They're not covering any pay, nor helping their employees, once he stops working tomorrow. - End of conversation
