The national guard is rapidly activating in several states; expect many by next week. All considered, this is a good thing. Expect increasing restriction on your movements, especially if you (like me) are at the heart of an outbreak. Emotionally prep for this so you don't panic.
Remember that this is the job of the national guard — they won't be there to intimidate or harass anyone, only to help and to try to keep city infrastructure orderly under strain. This is a scary time, but these are signs of a real response & that's very good.

There are lots of complicated legal reasons that I don't really understand that would make this very hard to do officially. But if planes are grounded and roads are closed, that could be the functional result.
