Lol. I was yelled at once in Singapore by a bathroom cop for not flushing the toilet (I thought it was self-flush; I honestly would have gone back on my own).
Bathroom cops? Like... cops specifically stationed in bathrooms to oversee them? Do they have authorities over more than just flushing? I’m 100% in favor of bathroom cops to yell at people who don’t wash their hands
When I worked in Singapore, they published the names of the people who had been caught drunk driving on New Year's Eve on the front page of the newspaper on New Years Day

I remember as a kid hearing about "rights and responsibilities" and then subsequently hearing about responsibilities only at home, and only seeing people talk about rights, never responsibilities in the public/political arena. Singapore seems like a refreshing exception to that.
We've always believed in "collective efforts" though there are always a few bad apples. Its heartening to see people being more conscientious in public i.e. helping to clean the playgrounds and lift buttons instead of just expecting the cleaners to do the job. As a student,
