suggested press question for our mayor and supes: what percentage of our high-risk health workers + support staff can only afford to live in communal housing and/or rely on lengthy public transit commutes? I have a guess, best conveyed through interpretive fetal position
Classic SF: 30 beds for $15,000 each. 30 beds is going to change strictly nothing at this scale.
At least they are in presidio
While good they're making some kind of effort, it pales in comparison to the capacity required. SF isn't getting it: the homeless population will become a significant and enduring vector for transmission everywhere, and a catalyst for social unrest. These RV's DO NOT CUT IT.
Each RV will require individual drainage of waste and sanitizing by skilled techs, security to enforce compliance & general safety, and distributed food, medical across large area. Inefficient & dangerous proposal, likely to cause additional infection. This is not comforting.
Who would have guessed that there are horrific consequences to pathological social policies.
The world’s capital of innovation!
Oh boy another reason NIMBYs are the worst
