Delete this. I know you already deleted the tweet calling me out for being in one of these groups. But this is honestly horrible behavior and you're going to end up hurting people who can't afford it the way you can.

Feel free to say I'm playing the "victim." Consider that not everyone is in your position. My fucking god.

People for whom the stakes are never very high have a hard time calibrating their understanding of the situation they're creating for others. I'm fine leaning in to disagreement, but I don't think Mike should be encouraging anyone to send him private info about his detractors.

Part of politics groups that whilst I’d never leak from, a leak wld be understandable. If people with some relative amount of social power group together, they have a right to keep convos private, but they shld expect that if a leak occurs on newsworthy info, it may be published.

OfC if you’re solely discussing which journos you don’t like, then that’s bullying and a misuse of power to release that. But if you’re discussing things like eg, circumnavigating HR procedures to get your pals jobs on the group... why not write an article bout cronyism in tech.

I have never been a part of any conversation like that. Ever. I didn't come from money and I don't have an expensive education to ride on. I don't think Mike should be calling for screenshots from private convos about the privilege a lot of journalists have. That's it.
