Seems hypocritical for the wealthy to criticize upstart tech entrepreneurs. But perhaps this has a self serving benefit for the elite. Block all competitors.

Meh. 1)This stuff feels ad-hominem. Either their criticisms are valid or they’re not. 2)It feeds into the “rich people are bad” zeitgeist. 3)It’s not that informative unless we know how the family wealth of anti-tech journalists compares to the overall journalist population.

I see two elites arguing

Corrollary: the only people that romanticize poverty (think: people who say they want to visit Cuba before capitalism screws it up) are those that have never had to worry about it.
