I mean, if you want to blame capitalism for something like skirting animal welfare to meet demand for cheap meat, OK. Let's talk. But half a second of reflection should suggest to you that the market is probably not demanding that airlines fly empty "ghost planes" across Europe

Some people equate "capitalism" with "having at least one entity that does something for financial gain/to avoid financial loss rather than acting for the public good in all circumstances" I.e. capitalism = any behavior that follows incentives

Socialism and capitalism both want to be conceptually fragile like masculinity so that we can blame the ills of society on the corruption the other system brings. Socialism can't be judged for what exists now. Any amount of capitalism = capitalism, so all societies are capitalist
