If you had to guess, how likely do you consider it that COVID-19 will cause more deaths in the US this year than the flu? (In recent years, 12,000-61,000 annual flu deaths have been estimated.)

E(deaths from coronavirus) > E(deaths from flu), but P(deaths from coronavirus > deaths from flu) might be less than 50%. I.e. I'm still hopeful that it won't be too bad, but if it is bad it will be really really bad.
