I was (unfortunately) at a convention yesterday and I successfully didn’t touch my face, but the number of arm raises and near misses was high. Like, really high. A physical reminder like gloves definitely would have helped.

It helps a lot! For related reasons, I can see why it might be counterproductive for healthy people to wear a mask. Wearing a mask, you constantly find yourself wanting to fiddle with the odd thing on your face. Wearing gloves, all that fiddling becomes hyper-obvious.

I did that on my last flight, though cotton gloves, not latex. It turned out that the plane was freezing, so that worked out, too, but holy moly I want to touch my face all the time.
