I didn’t find that NYT Daily episode non-chalant at all. They discussed the very real possibility that someone you know will probably be killed. I appreciate you speaking truth to Media power, but this dismissive statement makes me feel you have an agenda.

Tone =/= content; if the content had been less startling, the discontinuity between tone and content would've been less noticeable. I'm not sure what you think my "agenda" is, and if you're going to accuse me of something I'd prefer you just say it clearly so I can defend myself
