The total lack of any sympathy for the difficulties of the very wealthy often reveals an underlying belief that all *your* difficulties in life are a result of simply not having enough money.
There's a great scene in Parasite where the matriarch of the poorer family says that the wealthy woman they work for is only nice bc she's rich; that if she were rich, she'd be even nicer. She then immediately gives the dog sniffing around next to her a shove so hard he whimpers.

Observation: some people behave in grumpy (shitty even) ways when they don't have power, but get much better as they gain power/agency/safety. They weren't mean, just insecure. Others get worse. Anecdotally, I would have guessed wrong who would turn which way in my light cone.
