They are, it's only very recently that the ducks became tall enough to make eye contact and I have reason to believe that the guinea pigs were caught off guard by this development

Mostly-indoor duck-keeping will likely require extraordinary effort long-term but I may still go that route. They also have a standing offer to relocate to a pond on a property in Napa
