Lots of "pay taxes instead, Bezos!" as though - climate change is suddenly kinda meh - subsidies/tax breaks are unilaterally created by the people to whom they are offered - a federal gov operating on $4,746B this year alone is ~$10B short of fixing climate change themselves

IMO, you can add all the candidates who wax poetic about decommissioning nuclear when they know perfectly fucking well that this would immediately spike fossil fuel consumption, as it has everywhere it's been implemented. Sanders? Warren? Climate deniers with national platforms

To be fair, the people who think climate change will cause human extinction in < 10 years generally overlap with those who think the rich are inherently immoral. Add to this the presupposition that actions can’t be seperated from actors and It’s quite the logical conundrum.
