This is just such a weird thing to complain about. These people have companies to run. *You* are the person whose job it is to figure out how to talk to them on agreeable terms. If you can't figure out how to not fuck up your relationships in the industry that's kind of on you
I’ve had a completely friendly reporter writing a puff piece still get me in a bit of trouble because she was writing notes (not recording) and applied a number I said to the wrong quantity. If anyone had asked me to verify the “quote,” I would have caught it.
Good reporters do check w/ their sources to verify the story prior to publication.
It’s almost as if there is a reason they would limit access to people who relentlessly smear them.
As the reader, i feel entitled to having the reporters questions answered, thats the whole equation. If the questions dont get answered, im going to be pissed.
