I suspect that there will be a positive resettling of the journalism biz model once e.g. Brave or Blendle cracks it. One issue now is that older institutions sold off a lot of their credibility by section, and what credibility remains is held largely by individual writers...
...another issue is that the same people who whine about techies not supporting journalism tend to be *extremely* suspicious of anything funded by — or even tangentially beneficial to — techies
