The infection rate is similar to influenza. It is spread by people who have little or no symptoms. Death rate is lower than flu. It does not kill people so rapidly or frequently that it stops its spread. It will become part of the landscape like flu.
Anybody who claims they know the mortality rate on this doesn't know what they're talking about. It's still early days.
The mortality rate *seems* higher than the flu, but also we should be skeptical of literally anything China is telling us.
