Similar ideas belonging to the same family, where the most important thing is whether or not you "deserve" spending power regardless of whether or not it was freely given or transacted.
In one case, you don't deserve money because you don't have the social station for it. In another, because someone else gave it to you because they love you. But the list goes on.
I guess the question I’m hinting at is “what wealth does society approve of ?”
