Important to remember that war-time presidents have NEVER lost a reelection.
Most sitting US presidents who seek re-election are successful, particularly if they were elected. (If you're arguing that George HW Bush lost because he wasn't enough of a warmonger, that'll be a new one!)

Never made a comment about why someone lost an election. Sitting presidents lost reelection 7 times, compared to wartime presidents specifically never losing.
