Remember when everyone was pointing out that the media's coverage of Joker *really* seemed keen to incite a mass shooting?

A claim I don’t find ludicrous - Trump might believe that being involved in a war will help his re-election. (It seems to have helped George Bush in 04)
George Bush wasn't facing an electorate exhausted by a decade and a half of fruitless warring in the Middle East. The war still saw bipartisan support then. The idea is uttery laughable now.
I've been thinking the same thing. The media really really want to be important and influential, but then be absolved of responsibility when they influence outcomes in reality.
And seems they to try and use “i told you so” as a way to bolster that influence.
Important to remember that war-time presidents have NEVER lost a reelection.
Most sitting US presidents who seek re-election are successful, particularly if they were elected. (If you're arguing that George HW Bush lost because he wasn't enough of a warmonger, that'll be a new one!)
Perhaps things have changed so much that history will not rhyme. We will be able to say that only after the retaliation, however (in my opinion, that is)pic.twitter.com/RrCNsZgand
