Whether people "should" work nights and weekends in order to be successful is drawing out the problem entirely the wrong way. If you don't enjoy the work and don't care about the outcome, that job is not going to make you successful whether or not it makes you rich.

I've been thinking about this on and off for four days. I think people have been sufficiently pacified by legal fictions and shared myths. Otherwise markets would be serving means of individual survival and domination. The question is are we moving in a direction of common good?
