Do you have, or have you ever had (in adulthood), a pet that you would empty a small-to-medium sized emergency fund for to prevent death from an injury or illness?

A Maine Coon I raised since birth. I loved her. She got killed by coyotes this year. I would have spent thousands on her though.
I'm so sorry. I know several people who've lost beloved dogs and cats to coyotes, snatched right from view of the house.
