To be frank, @LorenaSGonzalez ought to be completely ashamed of herself and utterly horrified to witness the harm she's brought upon vast numbers of people less fortunate than herself. Perhaps one day we'll be able to treat her sort of sociopathy, and she'll have to do just that.
If anyone's wondering why *I* loathe this bill so much, it's in large part bc I think it's likely to utterly destroy the potential for alternative/home/micro-schooling in California, by forcing both parents into so-called "quality jobs" — that's full-time, employer-centered work.
One of the best things about freelance & gig-economy work is that it allowed a lot of households with children to function financially with only one parent working full-time. What are the options now? Two parents out of the home, or serious financial instability.
