How much cheaper was it compared to buying it from the store, excluding the pounds the store doesn't sell?

It was about 1/3 the price of trimmed packaged cuts from the same region, but I lost ~25% of it trimming it down

It's not too bad. In Arkansas, I had a cow slaughtered for the freezer each year. I never made it through a year without running out.
