I'm segueing elsewhere here, but the worst I can say of chickens is this: I once ordered a mixed-breed batch of chicks & all the non-poofy-headed ones tried to immediately genocide the poofy-headed ones. This is terrible; but uhhh does not feel entirely confined to chicken-kind
They employ an efficient sorting algorithm in figuring out the pecking order, thus minimizing the number of necessary fights. Much better than mean girls in high school!

I understand it varies a lot by breed. The ones you'd get for a personal farm are very different from ones bred for battery cages (which, if we're judging 'chickens', accounts for most chickens)
