There are already a very large group of men who try to coerce women into having abortions — much larger than the group of people who try to initiate a murder. I suspect if they were demos of roughly the same size, we *would* put rat poison behind the counter.
Bottom line is that most of the men who would do this are already hoping for a miscarriage, and it's not a huge leap to "this can happen naturally, it's safe, nobody will even know, and anyway she's being totally unreasonable." These people are assholes, but not extreme outliers.
