IVF is complicated because it involves a complicated mix of services (physician examinations, blood testing, pharmaceuticals (some non-generic) & surgery) & usually must be provided by multiple physicians working in tandem

Wife and I have been through IVF and IUI. Have worked with many different providers. Competition forces are alive and well. Everyone has different systems, no two providers were alike in their approach (in Seattle area). Each provider offers the full stack of services.

I suppose they are competing within the range they are able and that range may not include many critical components (such as, the drugs), but you can get a variety of different levels of intervention and you know the prices before you take any path. Transparency is high.
