Workers don’t just need jobs...they need good jobs. Working 16 hours a day without minimum wage protections, workers compensation, and unemployment insurance in one of the wealthiest countries in the world is unacceptable and not a starting point for discussion.
With all due respect, this comes across as callous and patronizing to those fighting for an exemption because they stand to lose the livehihoods they have in order to benefit the class of workers that want to transition to full-time employment.
