Drug scheduling still largely determines the severity of a drug offense — Schedule 1 is the most egregious, a category that *does not* contain methamphetamines but *does* include marijuana & LSD. This is on the grounds that meth has an accepted medical use, but marijuana does not
Meth can be eradicated the same way qualudes were - the precursor chemical is manufactured by 9 factories in the entire world. Each would follow a ban. Cold medicine companies prevent this ban despite a suitable replacement already on the market.
Do you have any good links/resources about this? I've always wondered whether it'd be feasible to get the components off the market entirely
