They're not poison if they don't eat the poison bugs, right? (I'm still amazed you can buy their tadpoles.)
Yeah, apparently when bred in captivity they're completely harmless, and even wild-caught individuals lose their toxicity in controlled environments (yay!/boo!)

My friend who has a few said no one is sure why that is, either! A fun mystery. Anyway, they're awesome and cute and seem very shy at first but will come out of hiding more often over time
