Some concerns, admittedly anecdotal: > "Monogamy OBO," where a poly partner eventually finds "the one," leaving their other partners w/ new struggles re: jealousy/insecurity & none of the social/emotional recourse of cheating > Childbearing time is limited & kids seem a rarety

Swinging and other (more or less) romantically exclusive/sexually open arrangements — and maybe very strictly hierarchical poly — seem more likely to avoid these issues, but also more likely to create a revolving door of sub-partners who never really get their own needs met
