It sounds to me like this is a professor putting up a strawman to provide practice in handling totally nonsensical arguments. Or am I reading it wrong and he's sincere here?
I wasn't able to draw solid conclusions until I listened to the set of recordings on the Youtube video. I found it very clear afterward.
