Do you have stats on the safety of each?
As far as I could tell at the time I was researching this, both are pretty safe. Birth centers may actually appear to have fewer adverse results, but they only accept clients with confirmed uncomplicated pregnancies & initiate hospital transfers when there are warning signs
Interesting. I wonder how birthing centers compare to home births in safety. I can definitely understand how a lot of the magic can be lost in a sterile environment, but I think the benefit of on hand expertise in trauma, intensive care, etc. at a hospital outweighs a lot.
