"Sex scandal" is a bit obsfucating, here. The violations described range from "had affairs with lots of students or prostitutes" to "forcibly raped people and gave them HIV."

It loses its footing towards the end, when it says some were certified to be enlightened (not true in Tibetan Buddhism even of Dalai Lama), then adds it would be hard to believe they all weren’t enlightened. Not at all - you can easily doubt & you should based on their behavior.
