I think it's vital, at this point, to consider the distinct possibility that "China wins" is the default global outcome when considering what kind of country the US should be politically & economically. If you don't like communism *or* you don't like ethnostates, that matters

I have people who advocate for communism and/or socialism in my family, who are members of an actual socialist party, which presumably we both know exists because one of them is running for president. I'd go on, but you're not going to be persuaded if you can't use your own eyes.
