Basically, you'd write out a plan for your day, we'd have a brief 1:1 call in the morning to discuss it & pinpoint the likely failure modes, & then we'd check in 1-2x throughout the day. Finish with a longer debrief call in the evening & talk about what the next week looks like

Honestly, I don't know if I'd be *especially* well-positioned to do this if you guys didn't like me so much, but given that you do I assume you'll want to fight valiantly against the bitch goddess Akrasia when I'm keeping my eye on youpic.twitter.com/uz4JyzV9kS

There are a few reasons I think this might work better than other things people have tried: - It would explicitly be a day for *unusual* productivity. Not an every day thing. 1x/week at most. - Lots of check-ins. Option for a re-planning session if it's falling apart. - Not free.

I *think* I'll do pricing as a suggested donation on a sliding-scale, where your price is one that'd sting a bit if the day was a failure but which you'd be very happy to pay if you found yourself getting a lot more done than usual. Pay upfront, but with a generous refund policy

I'd guess that this comes out to $20-$500 for most people who'd be interested, with the median & mode being close to $80

FWIW, I think I only have the extrovert energy for this 1-2x per week, and I think ~8 people is the absolute maximum per day if I'm reviewing everyone's plans, thinking deeply enough to ask the right questions during check-ins & getting *actually* invested in each person's day

If this "unsticks" some substantial chunk of participants the way I hope it will, even in the short-term, it's almost certainly worth doing, and especially worth developing without any pressure to make it scalable — I suspect this is how extant programs are hobbling themselves

I hope framing it as a one-off booster shot of self-efficacy will make it something accessible to people who generally feel very disappointed with themselves when they try to bootstrap "good habits" or routines. I think a lot of people are down on themselves for failing at that.

My high output days are usually done under time pressure and if I tried to plan them, well, wouldn’t be high output
