FWIW, many athletes risk death in front of a crowd of onlookers. Think freestyle motocross, many forms of racing, even skateboarding. And they have nothing to do with warrior drives or male aggression.

Boxing isn’t really a sport based on being an outlet to release violent urges. The mental aspect of it is the part that many become obsessed with.
