SF's regulatory model for housing is working so superbly that it only makes sense to apply it to tech. Love the idea of city officials and the least-busy contingent of the local boomer population collaborating to decide which tech solutions are permitted in public

I'm pretty freaked out by how many VCs & VC-funded founders are beginning to take it as a given that SF's nonviable in the long run for what they're doing. The shift is happening *very* rapidly. And SF governance is still bloating rather than trimming fat. This does not bode well

SF lives or dies on its ability to draw top tier talent that could go anywhere. Yet amidst the country's worst housing crisis & a shocking level of property crime, filth + visible drug use, the city seems sworn to demonize & hamstring its own tax basehttps://twitter.com/thejuliamerz/status/1182690217263816706 …

Idea: put your offices in Oakland, and bus people over in big buses with your corporate logo on them. This is a unique idea that I just came up with and completely original.

The really important thing about innovation is that it flourishes when you have to ask a committee's permission to do it.
