We shouldn't shut down nuclear plans and should continue research investment but other options look more promising now. We should be spending that political capital on improving energy markets, transmission, and Electrification infrastructure.
If any of the anti-nuclear candidates addressed the *very real* battery/storage problem, I'd take them a lot more seriously

I mean Inslee has many mentions of tax credits and research into batteries and storage and also mentions multiple sources of demand response. Other candidates don't have anything close. Though if they just appoint Inslee as energy secretary I'm not sure that will matter.
