We do need more talk in spite of political disagreements. However, people like Ellen think speech matters more than actions. George Bush was an atrocious President, but she is too far in the 'narrow elite' bubble to care. The point of her message is garbled because of this.

Wait until you hear that they're *friends*! Perhaps you were wrong about Ellen all along; she's clearly taken this "love everybody" thing too far. If she won't even take her chance to save society by spitting in a former president's face, she's no good to anyone.
