You mean when white supremacists keep murdering innocent people of color in their houses of worship? Or when someone online says “a person being hateful isn’t actually funny or interesting”? Which cultural Puritanism offends you?

You can, but the people who object to the latter don’t do anything to stop the former.

What about people who object to former? Do they not do anything about the latter? In that case it’s a paradox, as "both" in this case would mean "neither".

Wtf can any of us do to stop genuine murderers who we have not and would not ever have met or communicated with? In what world does it make any sort of sense to pin that on a massive group of presumed political opponents?

We can listen when they explain how they were radicalized, and which platforms were part of connecting them to communities that incited them to violence. And we can not give platforms to the people who incited that violence.

I'm all for excluding folks who *actually* incite *anyone* to violence. It's something I've never done and don't endorse. But a quick scroll to the top of this thread makes it pretty clear that this goalpost is on wheels, flying toward the nearest person who disagrees with you.

That “actually” is doing a lot of work there. Would you say Trump has *actually* incited anyone to violence, including the convicted violent criminals who’ve explicitly said they were incited by his words?

Donald Trump literally told a rally crowd he'd look into paying the legal fees of a man at his rally who attacked a protester. Of course he's incited people to violence. But that's not on the basis of what the fucking criminals say, for chrissake.

I've been stalked three times in my life. Want to know who *they* think incited them to stalk me?

Yes, stalkers blame their victims and that’s awful. Are you saying trump is the real victim of violent white supremacists? What’s your point in making that analogy?

What do you think my point is? Read both of my tweets. I have 280 character limit to abide by, here.
