FWIW: this is *not* an attempt to deride families who need two incomes, or single parents who have no choice but to work, or parents struggling with postpartum depression or a difficulty developing an attached relationship to their child
People tie themselves in knots trying to do the best for their kids. Others do the same justifying what they want as being best for their kids. Many do both, because being honest about what's best for you, what's best for your kids, and the compromise of the two is *not allowed*.
Our society will have to evolve for the greater good of their next generation, what it is now is not a sustainable model
I got lucky and I have a great job that lets me work from home so i can be a single dad with 4 kids and not stress out about missing out on time with my kids. We just got back from the beach today, it was a blast :) Getting more companies to offer wfh is one solution of many.
