The total area of potential idea-space we could be playing with in education is immense and re-exploding on a regular basis, but we can't break out of the narrowest local peaks despite all but *knowing* they're disappointingly close to sea level

This all said, some ppl do learn better visually, some by reading and copying (writing), and some by listening. I know ppl who can read complex material and learn it w/o writing it. And I knew someone who could hear music and play it on piano w/o ever seeing the sheet form.
