Just saying, if you actually think public schools are such dangerous places that children need to be taught to hide from a homicidal maniac the same way they're taught to evacuate in case of a fire, maybe you shouldn't jail people for refusing to send their kids there
FWIW, I think active shooter drills are unjustifiable, support gun control policies that aren't shot down within 15 seconds by people who understand how guns work better than I do, and worry about the kids who experience nonlethal violence at school as a matter of routine
Uh this not that different than Rs marketing the TSA as a solution to terrorism. It’s a political ad pushing an emotion button, not reality. The correct reason to do gun control is the vastly higher numbers of gun accidents, suicides, and domestic homicides.
They are weirdly used as evidence too. People will say, "We have such a problem now that we have to train our kids how to avoid a shooter." and think their point is proven. I'm not sure a reaction to something can really ever be used as proof.
They identify it's dangerous AND that kids need to be at school. Hense a need for gun regulation.
In the 80’s we had to get under our desk to practice when the Russians attack us.
It's almost like they made an agreement with someone to insure all children mature in an environment of fear. We've switched from "duck and cover" to shootings and climate change.
Kids are handy terror fomites for taking the infection home with them.
