Some of the loudest Proponents of Science — an identity moreso than a descriptor — are scientifically illiterate. If you say stuff like "there's a consensus in the field" or "this has been established for 50 years," and can't go any deeper than that, you're just chanting doctrine

Your house keepers take down your drywall? Man, now I feel like mine are lazy.

Now I'm imagining my house keepers cleaning behind the drywall, going under the house to eliminate pests, power washing the driveway, washing solar panels, etc., all in their 30 minute window. They drive up in their van, unload like a pack of oompaloompas and swarm the place.
