"Never be willing to leave/choose a partner who is never willing to leave" is, on its face, terrible advice. And yet the opposite of terrible advice is very often not good advice, and "be willing to walk away at a moment's notice" is indeed terrible advice.
In the low-stakes relationships that rule the day, it's fine, albeit an unnecessary generator of anxiety and friction. But you can't reasonably plan to buy a house or have a child with someone who will "walk away at a moment's notice" regardless of the impetus.
