Why does this assume that passion is fungible? Seems to me she's saying that you should prioritize work based on needs instead of passions, not that you can choose what you're passionate about

I see your point now, and the way incentives are aligned today, you're right. But I don't agree that it's a general rule. I see no way to show that we can't have a system that gets people to prioritize less arbitrary things well enough
