I want to address unfounded speculation about @MrAndyNgo's departure from @Quillette: Andy has been off work for @Quillette since July, after sustaining a traumatic brain injury. He is now moving onto bigger & better projects, & we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
One might suspect that if anyone were protecting Andy Ngo, he wouldn't have sustained a serious brain injury, alone, on tape, over the course of an altercation lasting many minutes.pic.twitter.com/zZf1CU7FXY

And given the tremendous amount of footage from these events from activists of all persuasions and local journalists + Andy's relative notoriety, it'd be *extremely* surprising to not capture Andy "hanging with" PP if he were actually doing that, no?

I think even more puzzling is the suggestion that Andy should have notified the police or filmed. Yet a paragraph earlier PP is described as the only group protecting him in Portland. Obviously, security is not a straightforward matter for Andy.
