I will never, ever subject a child to what school was for me. Not to get anyone else the money they want or need, not to make a stand. My father has made very similar arguments to the ones you're making now, and frankly he risked having a dead child.
The system is subject to immense bloat and rent-seeking, incentives that work against the well-being of children at every level and a fundamental lack of regard for how incredibly disturbing the situation is for many if not most kids. I appreciate the incrementalists, but I'm out
